And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of sight.  And while they looked steadfastly toward Heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.      Acts 1: 9-11.

       I want to share something with you I encountered last week.  I was fishing alone.  It has been my luck all year, the fish are not biting.  So, I start looking at things on the bank.  I watch the squirrels, and  things of nature around me.  It's relaxing to just sit there and look around.

     The other day, I was going down a bank I had already trolled two or three times before, and something struck me odd!  Growing out of the bank at a forty-five degree angle was a "gi-normous" tree.   It was hanging out over the water.  For certain that tree is going to fall in the water, and I  was scared.  I don't want to be under it when it falls....How do I know it's going to fall?  Here are some facts:

• The first reason I know this tree is going to fall is it's leaning at a forty-five degree angle--- the law of gravity will  make it fall straight over in the  water.

• The second reason is that this tree is about ten feet from the water....   “Stay with me now, I'm going to make a point soon!”

• The third reason it's going to fall in the water is that iIt has several of its major roots exposed and this tree is  forty feet long.

• The fourth reason--- at the base of the tree is a big rotten spot.

• The fifth reason I know the tree is going to fall is that  it is a water maple---not a stable tree to begin with.

So now, here's a gi-normous tree leaning at a forty-five degree angle with a rotten spot at the base and  roots exposed.   It's a water maple at that!  I know this tree is going to fall in the water; I just don't know when. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't fall before the summer is gone.

Now! You say what does this have to do with Jesus?   It's got a lot to do with Him.  We have been told that Jesus is coming back. All my life I've heard that; yet, many people are doing everything else but looking for His coming.  That tree inspired this sermon so if you don't like the sermon, blame the tree.  Just as sure as I know that tree's  going to fall in the water, I know Jesus is coming back.  I don't believe it will be another thousand years,  not a hundred, maybe not even a day before His return.

I recently read an article stating that 54% of so -called Christians don't believe in the resurrection.  They say they are believers of Christ  but they don't believe that they themselves will be resurrected.    Two-thirds of the people they surveyed don't even know what the Bible says about the resurrection.  People just don't know their Bible.  Are we going to be resurrected?

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch-angel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;     1 Thessalonians 4:16

A child is ignorant of how to do algebra; they must be taught.  So it is with the Child of God;  they must be taught the word of God.   Jesus is coming back.....Let me say it again....Jesus is coming back!

Church, He's coming back for those without a spot, without a blimish and without a wrinkle.  He's coming back for the blood-bought family of God.   I ”m ready for His coming.  It would be so easy for Him to wrap this world up and take us on to Glory, but I'm also glad of His long suffering.  He is not willing  that any should perish, but that all should come to Him..  He's Coming Back!  How will we know when He's coming back? 

Jesus speaking to the disciples upon the Mount of Olives in Matthew 24:

• Verse 3: "Take heed that no man deceive you"  People,  know your Bible.  Don't let anyone believe for you.  Don't take the preachers word nor family or friends.....Read it, and know for yourself.

• Verse 11:  "Many false prophets shall rise and deceive many."

•   Verse 24:  "And there shall rise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

We are living in those days right now; we are living in days when right is not right and wrong is not wrong but let me tell you,  the truth is still the truth, wrong is still wrong , and right is still right.  God's word never changes.  God's word yesterday is still God's word today.

The movie “The Da Vinci Code”  opened this week.  It grossed seventy-seven million dollars.  People were lined up to see this movie. Let me warn you this is an attempt to deceive people.  It is one lie after another.  There is only one true fact in the whole movie-- Paris is in France.  What really disgusts me is that the man that is responsible for this movie claims to be a Christian.  This movie is a blasphemist lie from the pit of hell.  I may be wrong about a lot of things but if I've missed who Jesus is, I've missed everything.  There are some thing you can mess around with...Roger Rabbitt and Arnold Swartzzeneggar being a couple of them, but you can't mess around with God.  I don't plan on seeing the movie or reading the book. It's all lies; it is not Bible.

Don't let anyone cause you to miss Heaven.  Read;

Little Children, it is in the last time; as ye have heard that an anti-Christ shall come; even now  there are many antichrists; whereby we know that it is in the last time.  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is Christ  He is an anti-Christ that denieth the Father and the Son.     1 John 2:18-22

Just as I know that tree is going to fall, I know that Jesus is coming back.  When?  Go back to Matthew 24:13-14: This gospel shall endure until the end;  the same shall be saved; and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The Internet is spreading the Gospel around the world.  Who would have thought a small place like Alum Springs, Kentucky  would one day have a small radio station like WDFB sending the gospel around the world?  Could it be Bible fulfillment?   ” Let no one deceive you.”
