Prayer Shawl Ministry
"Hello, my name is Kaye Lamb. I am a member of Pleasant Run Baptist
Church in Parksville, KY. Two years ago my husband had cancer and
while he was sick and having treatment in Houston, Texas, a church
presented him with a Prayer Shawl. It was a reminder of hope that
there are people who care and are prayer warriors. One year later
God laid it on my heart to start this ministry in Kentucky. This is
when 'The Arms of God' started. "When we
deliver the shawls, we always sing the chorus to a song called 'Sheltered
in the Arms of God'. These are the words: 'So let the storms rage
high, the dark clouds rise, they don't worry me 'cause I'm sheltered safe
within the arms of God. He walks with me and naught of earth shall
harm me, 'cause I'm sheltered in the Arms of God.'
"Whatever your need, please rest assured that someone is praying for
you. When you don't know what is going on or what is going to
happen, and there is fear of the unknown, wrap this shawl around your
shoulders and when you feel the heat know this signifies that God has His
arms around you. He is ALWAYS there. Just call out to Him.
He will always answer. P.S.: My husband is a two year cancer
survivor." There is a need for more Prayer Shawls as-soon-as-possible.
Please contact me for more information about this ministry.
